The One Child One Backpack (TOCOB) Project
Dear friends,
In the midst of the merriment before and during Christmas, let us remember that the next school year begins in January. A number of children from less privileged homes will be starting PRIMARY 1 or CLASS 1. Though Basic Education is free in Ghana, school supplies are essential for every pupil. The Gaudete Institute (TGI) is therefore launching this appeal of THE ONE CHILD ONE BACKPACK (TOCOB) project to support thousand (1000) underprivileged children with a backpack filled with basic school supplies in order to make their first day at school enjoyable so that they stay in school. The estimate is GHC 100 or $15 per pack.

An annual workshop is organized for graduates of Senior High Schools seeking to enroll in various post-secondary institutions
Offers unemployed youth and women willing to learn a skill/trade make a sustainable and a decent living
This project offers talks and workshops for senior citizens on how to enjoy a dignified and healthy old age
This is a TGI spontaneous response to the needs of persons and situations.This helps alleviate the burden of a situation or a thing and brings joy to the target.
