Dr. Simon Kwabena Dankyi

Board Chairman

He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Johann Wilhelm Goethe University in Frankfurt Germany. He is a lecturer in planning at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology with over 15 years of experience in development practice. He has worked in various roles in the not-for-profits sector and management consulting locally and internationally including West African Communications, Advocacy and Campaigns Manager at Leonard Cheshire International responsible for Sierra Leone, Ghana, Liberia and Nigeria, Programme Officer of the Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition and Manager at EY in Ghana. Dr. Dankyi has extensive experience working with young people and persons with disability among others. He is a KAAD scholar and a member of the African Good Governance Network.

Dr. Joan Nkansaa Nkansah

Board Member

Dr. Joan Nkansaa Nkansah is a Co-Founder and Deputy Director of TGI. She holds an EdD degree in C&I:Administration and Leadership Studies and an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of West Florida, She is an Assistant Director in the College of Education and Professional Studies at the University of West Florida. Her work involves educational leadership training, quality assurance and curriculum development. Dr. Nkansah is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Leadership Honor Society, Mid-Western Educational Research Association, Comparative and International Education Society and Mid-South Educational Research Association. Dr. Nkansah is committed to community outreach and the empowerment of the most vulnerable in society and spends most of her holidays participating in community-based development, mentorship and capacity building projects for women and children.

George Kingsley Acquah, Esq

Board Member

George is a dynamic legal professional with exceptional experience in corporate transactions, banking and finance, energy, environment and natural resources. He is dedicated to the driving of adoption of best practices and standards at the local, regional and international levels, promoting the implementation of policies and regulations based on clear understanding of emerging issues and in-depth knowledge of legal concerns. His on-the-job experience has afforded him a well-rounded skill set, including first-rate critical thinking and interpersonal skills. This has ensured his success serving in various capacities for government and private entities for over a decade. Some of his specific work experience include Researcher for the Congressional Black Caucus at the United States House of Representatives, Researcher for the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative, Legal Clerk for the Environmental Defense Fund (USA) and Legal Manger for Standard Chartered Bank (Ghana). He is also a lecturer at Lancaster University

Ms. Patricia Korang Nkansah

Board Member

Ms. Patricia Korang Nkansah is the founding secretary of TGI. She holds a Masters degree in Art Education from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. She is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Fashion at the Sunyani Technical University in Ghana. She has nearly three decades of teaching experience at all the levels of education in Ghana. She has skills in guidance and counselling and is committed to mentorship and human development

Mr. Joseph Yaw Yeboah

Board Member

He is a medical Geographer and a Lecturer at the Department of Geography and Development, KNUST. His research interests are in the area of Mining, Environment and Health, Population, Health and Gender Studies, Disability and Healthcare Studies. He is a member of the Ghana Geographers Association (GGA) and the International Society for Urban Health (ISUH), New York, USA. He has a strong passion for community service and local development initiatives.

Prof. Marian Asantewah Nkansah

Board Member

Prof. Marian Asantewah Nkansah is a Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of TGI. She holds a PhD in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Bergen. She is a faculty member at the Department of Chemistry of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. She belongs to networks such as the Global Young Academy, The World Academy of Science, African Academy of Sciences and the Next Einstein Forum among others. She is a thinker, speaker, author and Educator. She is involved in advocacy, mentorship and outreach .

Dr. Lily Lisa Yevugah

Board Member

She is a Geomatic Engineer with a PhD in Geomatic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She is a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors and the International Federation of Surveyor. Dr Yevugah is committed to community outreach, training, mentorship and capacity building projects for women and children.
